Road to Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa

03 July 2023

Francorchamps Motors Brussels was delighted to invite a number of its customers to an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at Belgium's flagship event for GT3 cars: the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa.

After breakfast and a briefing at the Wavre dealership, the participants set off for the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit on Saturday July 1st. Once they arrived and parked their Ferrari inside the race track, each participant was immersed in the activities of the official AF Corse Francorchamps Motors team to get the purest motorsport experience possible.

Living through the final hours before the start of the race with the drivers and mechanics of the official AF Corse Francorchamps Motors team, and even having the opportunity to have lunch with them at their hospitality, was a money can't buy experience. Ofcourse, the guests also took part in the famous 'Gridwalk': strolling between all the racing cars on the asphalt of the legendary circuit just moments before the start of this 75th Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa.

With its relatively new Ferrari 296 GT3, the Italian marque made a strong showing at Spa, with the #71 car of Serra, Rigon and Fuoco finishing 11th in the Pro category. In the same category, the #51 car of Rovera, Shwartzman & Nielsen had unfortunately to withdraw from the race. In the Bronze category, the #52 of Machiels, Machiels, Bertolini and Wadoux took 6th place and the #50 of Mann, de Pauw, Varrone and Piguet finished 12th.

It's clear that our Ferrarista experienced some thrilling moments at the very heart of the official AF Corse Francorchamps Motors team during this 4th stage of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe. The 5th stage will take place on 15 and 16 July on the Misano circuit (Italy) for the Fanatec GT Sprint Cup and on 29 and 30 July for stage number 6 on the Nürburgring (Germany) for the Fanatec GT Endurance Cup. Forza Ferrari!
